The Allegheny County Emergency Services mobile application is an interactive app designed to improve communication, emergency preparedness and resiliency for Allegheny County, Pennsylvania citizens. The app includes five sub-menus for maximum resourcing of the public: 911 Communications, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Academy, and Fire Marshal. Under 911 Communications, users can call or Text 911, sign up for the special needs registry, and Submit a Tip to alert county officials of an emergency, environmental, arson/fire safety, or other situation. Users can subscribe to emergency alerts, set up their “I’m OK” emergency notifier, and check off items in their emergency kit. Traffic, power outages, local weather, preparedness guidance, and emergency shelter locals are also under Emergency Management. Emergency Medical Services includes answers to frequently asked questions and a complete list of EMS agencies. Fire Academy sub-menu features a training and testing calendar, links to online learning, driving directions and accommodations, and contact information. Fire Marshal resources include fire safety, Juvenile Firesetters Intervention Team, and contact information.
